Marjorie Mathieu
President
Marjorie Mathieu has resided in the Golden Isles for the past twenty years, after moving here from West Virginia. She is a pharmacist by background with a B.S. in Pharmacy and an MBA from West Virginia University. She has worked as both a hospital and retail pharmacist, but has been in healthcare upper management roles since 1989. She retired as Vice President of Operations at Southeast Georgia Health System, a role she held from 2003-2019. She was responsible for the construction of the Outpatient Care Center, the St Simons Medical Office Building, the Medical Plazas in both Brunswick and Camden, the Nunnally House, the Outpatient Wound Care and Rehabilitative Services building, and the Kemble Conference Center, along with many others, as well as the planning and development of the current Master Renovation and Expansion project.
She is a member of St. William Catholic Church, where she serves as a cantor and choir member. She is President Nominee and Secretary of the Golden Isles Rotary Club, Immediate Past President of the Coastal Symphony of Georgia, and the current President of the Coastal Coalition for Children. She also sings with an acapella choral group, Ocean Harmony, and serves as a Stage Manager at both the Island Players and the Brunswick Actors Theater. She has two daughters and two grandsons.
