Dionne Lovett

As Assistant Executive Director of Coastal Regional Commission, Dionne Lovett is known for getting things done and driving results—through collaboration, partnerships, and relationships. With an enthusiastic and genuinely friendly attitude, Dionne radiates a sincere passion for coordinating and delivering programs and services to the communities of coastal Georgia.

Dionne earned her BBA in Accounting at Georgia Southern University and began working with Coastal Regional Commission as the Aging Services Fiscal Analyst in 2008; and was quickly promoted to Director of Aging Services, overseeing programs designed to serve our communities’ most vulnerable older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Recently promoted to Asst. Executive Director in May 2020, Dionne is now responsible for assisting the Executive Director in planning, organizing, and directing the overall administration of the Regional Commission; and directing the day-to-day management activities and personnel of assigned departments. In this new role, Dionne works closely with city, county, and other government agency officials on matters related to the Regional Commission’s goals and objectives.

Dionne is always eager to serve and is a proven leader as evidenced by her many leadership roles and appointments over the past few years. She has served in many volunteer capacities throughout the community including: She has served in the following capacities:

Trustee (Chair), Carneghan Emanual Baptist Church – January 2008 - present 1st Vice President, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Brunswick Alumnae Chapter) – July 2020 – 2022 Board member, Coastal Coalition for Children – September 2020 – present Board member, United Way of Coastal GA – March 2020 - present

She and her husband, Alvin, live in McIntosh County.
