Taste of the Vine Rescheduled for October 22, 2017
Coastal Coalition for Children Focuses on Support of Our Families
After Hurricane Irma.

Brunswick, GA  (September 18, 2017) – Coastal Coalition for Children, a Brunswick-based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit announced today that the Board of Directors has made the decision to reschedule the annual fundraiser, Taste of the Vine. Current ticket holders are encouraged to attend on October 22, 2017. Ticket holders who are unable attend on the new date, will be offered a refund, or can choose to make a donation of the ticket price. The original date of the event was to be Sunday, September 24. The event will still be held at Georgia Sea Grill on St Simons Island.

“It became readily apparent that our most immediate priority is to help the families we serve through our Healthy Families Coastal Georgia and Grandparent Connection programs,” said Terri Evans, executive director of Coastal Coalition for Children, which operates in Glynn and McIntosh Counties. “Irma and the evacuation, plus other associated costs are uncomfortable for everyone but are especially devastating to many of the families we serve. We are focusing on helping them through this time using our available resources, while also guiding them toward other resources which may help in their recovery.”

“Rescheduling was a complicated decision for the board since we already have such great support from sponsors and the community for Taste of the Vine. We’re hoping and expecting similar enthusiasm going forward to the November 12 date,” said Board of Directors president, Donna Crossland. “After all, we are here to help families all year and especially in times when they most need our help.”
